“I have a passion for technical stagecraft, the stage, and the people that work on and behind it. I love to take up the challenge, adopting clever and creative solutions that surprise the audience. I relish all stages of my profession, the more solitary moment of conception, the creative exchanges with director and producers, the feasibility studies with the technical teams, the construction supervision, the installation on stage, and the performance rehearsals, up until opening night.
I work mostly with scale models and technical drawings. I am keen on being well prepared and precise with my projects, which allows me more flexibility later on. I believe scenography to be at the service of the show’s narrative. It should be at once an aesthetic and technical base, a setting for actors and performers, and a dream for the audience.”
